Masterji
Fpyk news letter is reaching after a gap of a few months.
Some of the students of Master ji have written several letters enquiring about the news of the yogashala in Bangalore.
Several newsworthy activities surrounding the yoga studio in Bangalore are featured in this FPYK newsletter. Many students came and had their teacher training and some attended the classes. Many wrote that they would be coming to attend the classes but did not, however, those who attended were serious in their practice which is a very happy news for Master ji.
There many activities, most of them being one-day affairs.
Master ji was at the birth place of his Guru Yogasana Visharada Vidwan K.Pattabhi Jois accompanied by a bus-full of relatives.
There were a few workshops/conferences of Mill Sivaramaiah Foundation of which Master ji is the CEO. These workshops/conferences involved the women from the grass-root levels, living in the villages. [See the Special Programs page for details, and the new MSF gallery for photos of this event.]
On August 7th and 8th 2004, Master ji was in a yogasana championship which was conducted [under his guidance] in the capacity of the Secretary of Karnataka State Yoga Association. About 250 competitors participated in this two-day event. This championship is the preliminary competition for those who will be taking part in the national yoga championship which will be held in the month of November 2004. The competitors earn credits by participating in this championship which will be useful when they seek admission in certain colleges and have a preference to get into the jobs offered by the government.
Two students who came to attend yoga classes of Master ji presented a thought-provoking talk in the workshop/conference of the presidents of women co-operative milk societies organized by Mill Sivaramaiah Foundation. Kathaleen Naglee US and Daniala Premi of Italy presented their experience and impressed the women presidents how to become powerful and lead the community. Every one enjoyed the talk. Along with Susan Grimsdale of UK, Kathaleen Naglee and Daniala Premi gave a yogasana demonstration also.
Master ji will be in Bangalore in the month of September 2004 and will be giving the classes as usual.
Master ji will be giving classes till 20th March 2005 in his studio at Bangalore and afterwards for two weeks he will be at Purple Valley Yoga Centre, North Goa. Details will be given in the coming news letters.
From 16th of August onwards, there will be a series of festivals which if any one is interested and serious to know can discuss with Master ji during the free time.
